An excellent Cagliari lost to Juventus but came out of Allianz Stadium with their heads held high. In the second half the Bianconeri scored two goals thanks to set pieces: in goal Bremer and Rugani. It was Dossena's turn at 15 minutes to reopen the game; a few minutes later the same defender hit the post again with a header. It ended 2-1.

SOLID CAGLIARI
Match that starts immediately at a very high pace, Juventus tries to push but a tidy Cagliari puts the Bianconeri team in trouble. In fact, the first chances of the match are red and blue with Viola and Zappa at 9' and 11' that trouble Szczęsny. The first with and black danger comes with Federico Chiesa who directly from a free kick kicks high in the 17'. Another Rossoblù strike in the 24th minute, Dossena's header, off a corner kick taken by Viola, hits high.
Past the half-hour mark Juventus makes itself dangerous first with a Kean insertion blocked by an excellent Scuffet exit in the 32nd minute; three minutes later again Kean from the left finds Cambiaso on the edge of the area who kicks over the crossbar. Juventus close to the lead in the 43rd minute with McKennie who inserts perfectly on a Kean cross: ball just out. It thus goes to rest on the score of 0-0.
JUVENTUS TAKES THE LEAD
Cagliari changes at halftime: out goes Petagna, in comes Lapadula. Ready to go, Chiesa in the 46th minute takes the first shot on goal of the match: Scuffet blocks. Juventus starts very strong in the second half, first Kean and then again Chiesa trouble the red and blue defense. In the 54th minute and 55th minute, double Juventus chances: Scuffet saves on Chiesa, who finds the ball in the box after a back-and-forth on a ball put in the middle by Kostic, then Gatti's header hits out on the following corner kick. In the 60th minute Bremer unlocked the result by hitting a header off a free kick taken by Kostic. Ten minutes later the Bianconeri doubled the score with Rugani materializing a corner kick.
FINAL FORCING
With the entries of Oristanio and Shomurodov, the Rossoblù switched to 442. In the 75th minute Cagliari shortened the gap: Dossena's header off a corner kick found his first Serie A goal. In the 82nd minute Szczęsny touches and denies the double to Dossena, who again with a header puts the Bianconeri defense in danger. For the final minutes Pavoletti replaces Jankto. Cagliari tries but Juventus holds and the match ends with a victory for the Bianconeri.
