Cagliari U19 celebrated a magnificent festive trip to Napoli as Desogus and Luvumbo goals did the damage at the Arena di Cercola with the Rossoblù running out 2-1 winners.

Goals in the first half of Desogus from penalty and in the second half of Luvumbo gave Cagliari the third consecutive win on a sunny morning. Napoli played a good match but it was stoic rearguard work from the Agostini’s boys that kept the Azzurri at bay before a late Amrbosino penalty created a tense climax.

But Cagliari held firm and made it another win following the Asseminello success against Torino in midweek.

“Once again I can only congratulate the boys, we needed a test of strength and maturity against a tough opponent and so it was. There are five games to go, this means that there are still fifteen points up for grabs: the ranking is short, I always reiterate that everything can change quickly until the last one.
