Match report: Inter 4-0 Cagliari

The strong strickers of Inter made sure Nerazzurri beat Cagliari in the Sunday Night's match. 4-0 was the end result, courtesy Lautaro, Sanchez (2) and Calhanoglu goals.  

Walter Mazzarri opted to confirm 9 players of the team that draws against Torino in the last game: the only changes were Godin for Ceppitelli and Deiola for Nandez. The opening minutes at San Siro were dominated by high-placed football from both sides with either side producing some chances. Barella for Inter and Bellanova for Cagliari were the two most active players.  

The hosts scored the first goal from a corner: Lautaro hit with his head an assist produced by Calhanoglu. From when Inter took the lead, the match became really hard for Cagliari. The second goal was scored by Sanchez after Cragno saved a penalty just from the Chilean player. The third and fourth goals came in the 66’ and 68’ minutes: Calhanoglu and Sanchez were the scorers.  

The only bright spot of the match for the guests are the outstanding saves from Alessio Cragno: the goalkeeper produced a lot of authentic world-class stops. Nothing happened in the game's final minutes and Inter gained the three points.
