Cagliari lost 2-1 at Unipol Domus in the game against Atalanta.
It was already known how it would have been difficult for the Rossoblù to tame a team like Atalanta, one of the strongest teams of Serie A. Yet, Cagliari tried hard and played bravely, they fought on every ball and kept the hope alive until the end. This despite all the many absences coach Mazzarri had to face today as well.
Pasalic opened the score after six minutes, Joao Pedro equalized at 27', exploiting a long ball from Godin. The winning goal was scored by Zapata at the end of first half.
Atalanta had some chances to net the third, but also Cagliari had its to equalize: Bellanova and Pavoletti missed the chances.
After the break of Serie A, Cagliari will be back on playing at Sassuolo, on Sunday November 21th.
