Cagliari loses 3-2 home facing Genoa. A real pity, as the Semplici lads took the lead 2-0 and everything seemed to bring the first win of the season. Unlike Genoa's reaction, which brought a bitter end for Cagliari. The Rossoblù have many alibis: too many players out for injure (Godin, Strootman, Pavoletti) and many others tired for the international games. The guys from Uruguay, at example, were back just yesterday night, after a long journey. The freshmen Keita and Grassi played quite well, though, but also their physical condition would not let them play the whole game.
First goal of the day was courtesy of Joao Pedro, who scored from the spot after a foul awarded on Keita. Cagliari controlled the game and at 56' Ceppitelli netted the second, heading home a corner kicked by Marin.
Then, Genoa's reaction: Destro and Fares twice made the game upside down.
During injured tine, Joao Pedro had a big chance to equalize, served by a mistake by Cambiaso, but his shot got lost over the bar.
Cagliari will be back to play next Sunday at Lazio.
