The Final Eight is over

The Final Eight of the eSerie A TIM is over. It was a historic first time for the event organized in Milan by Lega Serie A, Infront Italy and PG Esports. Benevento on FIFA21 and Genoa on PES 2021 were crowned champions of Italy, while Cagliari Calcio eSports was the protagonist in both tournaments, coming one step away from the last act.

The Rossoblù team entered the highlight of the competition from the winner bracket in both tournaments. The pro player “Obrun2002”, aged 19, playing his very first major live event in his career, beat Fiorentina’s tough Giovhy but then gave in to Genoa and Benevento, which defeated Grifone in the final. Cagliari Calcio eSports achieved a prestigious final third place.

On PES 2021, after playing well in the playoffs, “Spagnols88” fails to overcome Turin, then yielding to Bologna in the loser bracket. Two matches that open the way to the Granata and Emilians, then defeated by Genoa respectively in the semifinal and final. Rossoblù gained the Top 6 in table.

An overall exciting journey from the earliest stages, since the event started. An appointment that promises to consolidate and strengthen itself, seeing the great success it had among fans and fans of eSports, certified by the huge audience which followed the live events and in reference to the many multimedia contents offered on the various platforms by the clubs and organizers.

Cagliari Calcio eSports stores this first experience with a wealth of positive notes. The team, branded Exeed and flanked by the main sponsor Intesa Sanpaolo, as well as by Fluorsid and Adidas, has shown how great is the desire to be a protagonist in the Italian eSport scene today and tomorrow. A clear signal comes from the talent of the players lined up, all of the first level. Collective strengthened by the precious contribution of the creators for a team work that represented an added value.
