Cagliari Calcio is pleased to announce the agreement with Costim group, primary Italian General Contractor.  It will support the Club as an industrial partner and constructor, in the next stages of the path towards the building of the new stadium.

The involvement of Costim - an integrated and digitalised industrial player, specialised in the realisation of big "turnkey" real estate projects - allows to further strengthen the initiative in its technical and industrial fundamentals and represents a key step in the broader development of the project, both from a strategic and operational point of view. Costim will work closely with Cagliari Calcio and Sportium in completing the Ultimate Project and will take part, together with the Club, in the international public tender to be called by the Municipality for the award of the intervention. In compliance with the timing provided by the administrative procedures in progress, Cagliari Calcio is confident that the works can be started as of 2022 and completed in the following 24 months.

The choice has been made after an accurate selection process, that involved a large number of top-level potential partners, based on story-track, reliability criteria, also considering innovative profile of the company and the ability to satisfy in detail, every requirement envisaged by the applicable legislation, including the provisions dictated by law no. 147 of 27 December 2013 (so-called "Stadium Law").

The Costim structure - through three supporting pilllars of proven solidity such as Impresa Percassi S.p.A., Gualini S.p.A. and Elmet S.r.l. - will optimise and enhance all the processes about the construction, thanks to synergies and sharing of skills in parallel with the coordination of Cagliari Calcio and the other professionals involved. With Costim, the Club make the most of a partner recognised for its ability to handle every dynamic of the industry, with an impressive cross-functional skills and specific know-how.

The Rossoblù journey to its new home takes on a positive and decisive acceleration, also supported by the activities for the precise definition of the financing model of the work, for which the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo has been following closely the initiative for some time and is already collaborating with Cagliari Calcio. The Club is proud that through this agreement the future is getting closer, ensuring a path characterized by the sharing of tools and objectives with the Region of Sardinia and the Cagliari City Hall, which is allowing the realisation of a work ambitious, fascinating and strongly identifying, symbol and pride of Sardinia and its people, also contributing to the general development of the football system in Italy thanks to the cornerstones of innovation and broad-spectrum sustainability.

In order to define the joint venture, Cagliari Calcio exploited the legal expertise of Chiomenti that - through a team of professionals led by Avv. Marco Cerritelli - supported the Club in this complex and pioneering initiative, right from the proposal submission stage.
